On the occasion of the activities programmed at the Faculty of Education of the University of Granada for Women’s Day, on 25 February, the artists Alba Soto, Ana Maeso and Isabel León carried out the action ‘Open the circle until we all fit’. It is a collective performance that takes the apple as a symbol of shared knowledge, desire and resistance. Through everyday gestures such as washing, drying and handing over, the piece generates a space for listening and symbolic transmission, connecting the participants in a circle that expands and transforms. In this performative ritual, the word is inscribed in matter, the voice becomes the body and collective action becomes an act of sowing and renewal.
This action is part of a collaborative research project on performance and education that we have been working on since January 2025.
