SEPTEMBER EQUINOX IN GRANADA

On Monday, September 22nd, we joined from Granada, Spain, EQUINOX TO EQUINOX: SAME BUT DIFFERENT, an international movement of artists who perform in public spaces for peace and freedom every equinox.

We were on the Paseo del Salón next to the iconic pomegranate fountain from eight to nine at night, a lovely gathering that had some very special moments, like when some passersby joined us to play “One, two, three… English chick.” Palestine, of course, was present, led by Pepa.

We were peacefully and artistically demanding freedom:
Isabel León
Carmen Porras
Clara Ayala
Pepa Mora
Tanús
Maite Del Moral Ortega
Manuel Sangué

It was a great pleasure to perform that day with so nice people. Thank you to all that join that night, it was very special.
Manifesto:
Is an international day for public actions for freedom for all people.
Each year on the Equinoxes, (~20.03. and 22.09.) the duration of day and night is approximately equal around the globe. In this spirit of cosmic equality, the event serves as a global connection for people performing together in public spaces. This sharing of time and space brings us closer together as a temporary (global) community by encouraging non-violent expressions for locally specific conditions through performance art. Everyone is welcome to participate with openness and in solidarity, embracing and embodying diversity whilst acknowledging each other’s individual circumstances, difficulties, and conflicts.
