I am thrilled to announce that I will soon be in Cáceres, Spain to lead an intensive performance workshop titled “Action Art as a Tool for Stage Creation” on Friday, October 23, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the MALTRAVIESO Performing Arts School.

This is an intensive, highly practical workshop designed to introduce the foundations of action art by examining the tools involved: body, space, time, and elements.
We will experiment with and reflect upon this artistic practice, which sits at the intersection of visual arts, performing arts, literature, and music. We will analyze its connections to and differences from theater, and develop the insight needed to appreciate the form.
Action art—or performance art—does not require specific technical, manual, or physical skills; each participant discovers their own personal language within this inherently inclusive form of artistic expression.
