On October 1, 2024, I turned 50 years old. To celebrate such a significant date, I created a ritual performance to honor, integrate, and accept the changes (physical, emotional, and vital) of this change of stage.
I cut part of my hair and keep it in an empty jar with some honey. With the rest of the honey, I cover different parts of my body that have changed very fast in the last months; chin, neck, mouth, breasts, hands, knees… or those that refer to other changes, such as lack of concentration and insomnia (head) or hormonal imbalance (belly). Covered with honey, I drop on mine dried flower petals that adhere to my body. Finally, I distribute the rest of the petals among the audience.
The action took place at the Palacio de los Condes de Gabia of the Diputación de Granada.
