NS#1 is the first of the live performances I perform within the Niyama Saucha project. It was performed as part of the Trans-formance Festival at the Cárcel Vieja Contemporary Culture Center in Murcia, in June 2025.
In this project I reflect, from an ironic and absurd point of view, on the human condition, combining the practice of yoga with domestic chores. In this way, the everyday -such as cleaning- is presented as a common territory, as something that connects and equalizes us as human beings.
Specifically, I dedicated this yoga session to the people who are suffering in Palestine. Dedicating your yoga practice to something or someone is common before starting a session, and this intention gave the piece new layers of meaning.
