Artistic proposal selected for FAR 2017. Córdoba, October 2017.
“Metaphor of a Rupture” is a collective action proposal that starts from the main idea of the II Relational Art Forum FAR 2017: “The Rupture, transgressing the Territory”.
For this, we take the two verbs of the title as a starting point to create a performance based on these two actions: break and transgress. It is about transferring these two ideas to the physical plane, to the experiential, to the experiential and to the personal… through the neutral execution of these verbs, using different materials and objects as metaphors (or symbols) of that with which we want to break.
In this action, we participated with about 17 people and lasted about 30 minutes. Each one chose a place and concentrated on its action of breaking and/or crossing that object. There were many simultaneous actions in which we shared the same space, time and intention. It was a single vertebrate action in many others… Everyone experienced and felt from their own reality; some actions were cathartic, others intimate, others hard, others subtle…
