I am fascinated by the action art; for this reason, in addition to my work as an artist, I am passionate about teaching, as it offers me the opportunity to share my way of understanding this artistic practice that is so intimately linked to a way of being in the world, in which the concept of “Art-Life” is the protagonist.
This course of the Public School of Cultural Training of Andalusia, with its headquarters in el Rey Chico in Granada, has been focused on the practice of action art as a tool for personal and social transformation, in the one that we have started from our personal and social concerns as main themes of reflection. Therefore, the actions that can be enjoyed in this encounter revolve around issues that have to do with the emotional, spiritual or social, without that these issues are evident in all cases.
We have taken special care in the form, in “how” to do, to offer some very careful work, which we hope will make you enjoy seeing them as much as we do them.
As the teacher and responsible for this group I can only be grateful, as the people who have participated in this course have done so generously and delivered that has generated an artistic and human wealth that has made this experience something very special. For the majority, it is the first time they perform before an audience, so the excitement and enthusiasm today is double.
The event is organized in two blocks with a short break. In the first part, we attend several simultaneous actions with a duration that varies between 20 and 50 minutes, in which the public wanders through the space between them. In the second block, we attend three consecutive actions, with a duration of between 10 and 15 minutes each.
