Performance for the presentation of the Corpus Delicti magazine, in the The Grey Square gallery, Tarragona (Spain). December, 2015.
“Hatillo” (meaning bundle of clothes) is a performance about many things, but mostly it talks about the weight we carry on our shoulders and how hard it is to rid ourselves of this. Even when we think we are done with something, we continue carrying it with us.
From out of a suitcase, I put clothes on my body, layer upon layer. Under a piece of transparent plastic held tense by members of the audience, I remove the clothes and place them on the plastic. I make the plastic into a bundle and carry it out of the space with me.
Thanks to Analía Beltrán i Janes for the documentation and to Antonio Luque for the videos.
